NO dollars in the near-term, sorry. This is for a jam I run at a club in the East Village (pre-Covid it was at a different club, I'll be relocating the jam and there's a club that will probably be hosting it, probably starting mid-July, every Wednesday night). It's an open jam with a full house band. The emphasis will be on the jammers but we'll be learning a bunch of songs that will fit a jam as well as this particular club. We also have one main singer/songwriter and we'll be doing some of his stuff sprinkled in. Type of music - varied, as would fit a typical jam - rock and roll, blues, R&B, soul, jammy and other. OK, so no dollars, why should you do it? Hmmmm, good question. Because you're crazy, you want to sing, you want to sing with a good band? I'd like to get this jam rolling and keep it going, I'd like to establish a beachhead at this place (hey, we're not talking Carnegie Hall here, don't get too excited!!!). Now, about you. I need you to be experienced, I need you to be a good singer, hey, surprise me, maybe you're a great singer! In any event, I NEED YOU TO SEND ME SOME LINKS. (And please don't tell me WHERE I can find those magical links, please give me the actual links, PLEASE.) This is a jam but we are VERY serious people and musicians, I'm not here to putz around. We'll be rehearsing in my studio in midtown west. Our ages vary. And there can easily be other opportunities beyond this jam, I'm looking for this to be a seriously good group.
