Findlay Market & Black is Excellence are hosting a panel led discussion to educate, inform and discuss the importance of Juneteenth. Findlay Market is proud to host Juneteenth at the market. This 2-day event will celebrate and showcase our talented black-owned businesses and our incredible community partners. The event will kick off on Friday, June 18th with a panel discussion moderated by Kai Stoudemire-Williams, founder of Black is Excellence. Findlay Market and Black is Excellence will bring together community leaders and business owners to discuss the history and importance of the holiday. On Saturday, June 19th, we will have a ticketed event featuring all Black-owned businesses, with 100% of the ticket proceeds going back to those businesses. We want to continue to display our commitment to the advancement of black and brown businesses for the advancement of equality. Event attendees will be able to redeem tickets for small bites at market merchants and vendors. We’ll have live music by Tracy Walker during the day. On Friday, June 18th, The Columns at Findlay Market is hosting a panel led discussion with prominent community leaders at 1pm. Panelists include: Mr. Paul Booth, City of Cincinnati Office of Human Relations; Black Is Excellence - Historian Mrs. Lydia Morgan, Lead Organizer of Cincinnati's Annual Juneteenth Celebration Chef Jordan Anthony-Brown, Owner & Chef, Elm St. Social Club & The Aperture Mr. Tim Barr, Board Member, Cincinnati Young Black Professionals Tickets for this event are free, reserve your seat today!
