Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) – Presentation Summary
Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) is a revolutionary pavement that blends the speed
and cost savings of asphalt construction with the longevity and environmental benefits
of concrete pavement. Introductory topics such as RCC history, pavement materials,
construction equipment and surface characteristics will be presented. In depth
information will be discussed on RCC applications with cost comparisons.
After the presentation, a site walk will occur to see RCC paving in action, as well as view
the setup/operations. Some on‐site demos and discussion will occur.
8 am socialize, 8:30 am presentation, 9:30ish site visit
