Kurt Johnson has made a career in photography and currently works by putting framed and large-scale art in health care facilities across the country. In this hands-on, conversational experience, Kurt will give you insight into his business, philosophy and shooting style. You'll have plenty of opportunity to ask questions and also take some photos in his studio! Topics Covered: Kurt will talk to us about his business, doing nature photography both in the studio and out in the field.Kurt will show you around his studio and discuss his operation.Kurt will show you specific lighting equipment he has put together in order to take his incredible in-studio flower and nature photographs.Kurt will talk about his workflow process.There will be time to ask questions throughout!Who Should Take This Class? It's a safe place to share, learn and grow! About Kurt Johnson Kurt Johnson has over 35 years of professional photography experience. His affinity for photography began early in life when his father, an architect and avid, amateur photographer, gave Kurt an old, Kodak Brownie camera to use. Since then, his eye hasn’t strayed far from a viewfinder. What began as a professional career in photojournalism later metamorphosed into architectural photography for Kurt, who is AIAP-certified and has some of the nation’s largest, architectural and engineering firms on his client list. Kurt’s photography of commercial and residential spaces has been published internationally and nationally in periodicals, including Architectural Digest. Extensive travels throughout the USA and abroad have given Kurt the opportunity to capture natural environments everywhere. Beautiful, healing landscapes and botanical imagery, coupled with his innate understanding of Biophilic design, have ultimately led to various applications of Kurt’s nature photography in healthcare facilities throughout the country, including the prestigious, Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
