Whatcom Janitorial is a progressively growing professional cleaning company that has served the Whatcom/Skagit County area for over 25 years. We are currently looking for a self-motivated, dependable, and career-focused candidate to join our team to achieve our company's mission of providing our clients with outstanding detailed cleaning and exceptional customer service. Shift: Mon- Fri w/rotating Sunday Shift (with every other Fri off) - 30-40 hrs. per week shift starts at 4:30pm most days. Please specify in the email what position you are applying for. JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES As a night shift supervisor, you are in charge of supporting the night shift cleaners on their day-to-day operations as well as ensuring client satisfaction. Supervisor Job Responsibilities: -Accomplishes department objectives by supervising staff and organizing and monitoring work processes. Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees and developing personal growth opportunities. -Accomplishes staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees. -Plans, monitors, and appraises job results. -Conducts training. -Implements and enforces systems, policies, and procedures. -Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing organization standards and adhering to legal regulations. -Completes operations by assigning and monitoring work, gathering resources, implementing productivity standards, resolving operations problems, maintaining reference manuals, and implementing new procedures. -Controls expenses by gathering and submitting budget information, scheduling expenditures, monitoring variances, and implementing corrective actions. -Provides quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards. -Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Supervisor Qualifications / Skills: Quality management Time Management** Supervision Safety Enforcement/Reporting Performance management Organization Fostering teamwork Self-development Giving feedback Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements: Valid Drivers License Vehicle Insurance High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in business or management preferred Industry and management experience a plus Physical Demands •Require 20% travel located in the Whatcom County area •Walking, standing, bending over, kneeling, sitting for extended periods in-office setting & in the field. •Work in both office and commercial environments (PPE use required in some locations). •Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
