WESTFORD, MA — If you have a strong opinion about whether restaurants -from coffee shops to fast food- should be permitted to have a drive-thru window, now is your chance to weigh in. At 7 p.m. the town is hosting a public forum to discuss a proposed zoning bylaw amendment to do just that. The meeting is set to provide overview of current outreach and research, the draft proposal and solicit public input. If this sounds familiar, that's because every few years this is a topic the town revisits. Last year it kicked up interest, especially with an eye to making it easier for restaurants and individuals amid pandemic, last year but not enough to outweigh concern about litter, traffic and idling cars and pass with a two-thirds majority at last year's Town Meeting. Earlier this month, with Town Meeting and more proposals set to come before the town shortly, the Westford's planning board, at the request of the Town Manager and with a nod of endorsement from the economic development committee, asked for the public's feedback in the form of a survey.
