Description
SWAMPSCOTT, MA — Those traveling in the area of Walker Road in Swampscott are in for some big changes over the next month as the town collects traffic data for planned infrastructure improvements.
Starting Wednesday, traffic will flow one way in a southbound direction on the road from the Paradise Road intersection to the Banks Road intersection.
This shift will run through June 4 when it will then be switched starting June 7 to run one way southbound for the next two weeks through June 18.
Walker Road will be narrowed by creating designated parking lanes marked with traffic cones and barriers. Signs are in place to direct traffic.
The town said it plans to share the data collected at an upcoming community meeting.
Those with questions can contact the Department of Public Works at 781-596-8850 or visit here for more information on the project.
