Houston Healthcare and CGTC are co-sponsoring American Red Cross blood drives at CGTC. There is an urgent need for blood, and Houston Healthcare and CGTC hope to assist the Red Cross reach a goal of 40 units at each blood drive. Just one hour of your time, and you can help members in your own community during this critical time. Your decision to donate can save up to THREE lives, so please, donate today and give the gift of life. The CDC encourages people who’re well to donate blood if they’re able, even if practicing social distancing because of COVID-19. The CDC is supporting blood centers by providing recommendations that will keep donors and staff safe, such as spacing donor chairs six feet apart, thoroughly adhering to environmental cleaning practices, and encouraging donors to make donation appts ahead of time.
