Description

Outdoor Emory SOAR 2021 The Student Outdoor Adventure Retreat (SOAR) is a four-day program that takes place immediately before Emory's new student orientation. All day-trips leave from Emory and will return to Emory at night. This is the largest pre-orientation program at Emory! SOAR gives incoming students the opportunity to meet other incoming freshmen and learn about Emory University from upperclassmen leaders. Nothing brings people together like rafting down a river, ziplining through the trees, or hiking through the Appalachian mountains. This year we are offering whitewater rafting, ziplining, and hiking. All trips are designed for those with years of experience AND those with none at all. Begin your college career with a tight-knit community, older student mentors, and an unforgettable adventure, making your transition that much easier! Please purchase the ticket that corresponds to the trip you would like to go on. The cost of the trip includes all transportation to and from the trip venue, meals while on the trip, activity fees, and a t-shirt. In addition, this cost will include a year-long membership to Outdoor Emory. This membership allows you to go on more Outdoor Emory trips throughout the school year and access all other club activities. Frequently Asked Questions What does SOAR stand for?
