In Recognition of Medfield Day 2021 For the second year in a row, due to the pandemic, there will be no Memorial Day Parade in Medfield on Monday, May 31st, however, a virtual event / speaker will be on MedfieldTV at 10am and a brief ceremony at Vine Lake Cemetery will be held at 11am.
10:00am - MedfieldTV will have a Memorial Day program... The Memorial Day Committee organized a virtual Memorial Day. The speaker will be Joshua Lehman. He is an active duty Special Forces major. He is living in Medfield because the Army sent him to Boston College to earn a graduate degree in preparation for service on the faculty at West Point. He received his commission from West Point in 2005 and has been serving since that time. He served in Iraq, Syria, and other places mostly with the 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) based out of Fort Campbell, KY.
11:00am - American Legion Post 110 Vine Lake Cemetery ceremony... A brief Beckwith Post 110 American Legion ceremony to observe Memorial Day will be held at the "Legion Lot / Flagpole Area" (section D1 - top of the hill) at 11am.
The public is invited at attend. The Legion asks everyone to follow social distancing protocols.
