Finalists will be awarded clues to Moneyman's location. First team to arrive will be handed the $10,000 grand prize. SCAVENGER HUNT INFORMATIONWHAT: A city-wide scavenger hunt with a $10,000 grand prize. New for 2021: Find mini prizes along your journey. HOW THE GAME IS PLAYED: Teams of 2 search the city to find items/locations on your list. Take a picture with the item to earn points.Post pictures to a Facebook album or Snapchat story.The top 4 scoring teams and 1 wildcard make the finals. Finalists will search for me and the $10k prize. First to find me wins.Detailed rules and instructions will be available to you on game day.WHERE: Explore Johnstown, PA and surrounding areas. The check-in location will be decided based off number of teams who sign up. WHEN: July 31, 2021 9 am WHO CAN PLAY: Everybody! A team consists of 2 Searchers. 1 player must have a driver's license. See Age Requirements and Family Rules below. HOW TO ENTER: Register on Eventbrite THINGS NEEDED TO PLAY: Teammate Vehicle (only 1 team per vehicle) Smartphone Facebook or Snapchat Signed general waiver (to be provided 1 week prior to gameday) GAMEDAY: 9am Show up with teammate in uniform/costume (see below for more info)Check-in will begin. Be the first team to find Moneyman and win his $10,000. WHAT'S IN THE TOP SECRET ENVELOPE ''The List'' - a list of items and locations to find. Game card. Detailed instructions and rules. Drop off locations. FACEBOOK/SNAPCHAT You will need to post photos to Facebook or Snapchat to validate your checked off items/locations on your list. Only 1 player on your team will be required to post to their choice of Facebook or Snapchat. Facebook and Snapchat will be your main HUB for all information leading up to and on gameday. Remember, the top teams with the most points will make the finals so earn those easy ones. All uniformed teams will earn the same amount of points no matter how elaborate your get up is. Wearing basic black Ts will count but there will be prizes for my favorite uniforms. AGE REQUIREMENTSAges 1-12 must register as Assistants. They must play with 2 paid Searchers, 1 being a parent/guardian. See FAMILY RULES. 13 and 14 must register as a paid Searcher and are required to play with 1 parent/guardian Searcher. 15 and up must register as a Searcher. Message me with any questions. FAMILY RULES (MUST READ for teams that include kids 12 & under)Teams consist of 2 Searchers. To promote a family-friendly event, kids 12 and under may participate as Assistants. I believe a team including extra players aged 12 and under doesn't give teams an advantage towards winning the game. Assistants must play with a parent/guardian. Only Searchers are required to be in the pictures. Assistant tickets aree free and ypu can have multiple Assistants on a team. Examples/scenarios: 1) Two parents aged 40 and 41 want to play with their 10 and 12 year old children. This would be allowed. The parents would need to purchase 2 Searcher tickers and 2 Assistant tickets. Only the team members above 15 are required to be in the photos. 2) Two parents aged 40 and 41 want to play with their 15 and 16 year old children. This would not be allowed. The two children are above the required age of 12 for bonus players. 3)One parent age 40 and 2 kids aged 10 and 15 want to play. This trio would be allowed. The parent and 15yo would be the only teammates required in the photos. They would purchase 2 Searcher tickets and 1 Assistant ticket. 4)One parent age 40 and one kid age 12 want to play. This would not allowed as photos require 2 Searchers age 15 and up. 5)Two parents age 40 and 41 want to play with their kids aged 12 and 15. This team of 4 would not be allowed. There would be 3 players on a team above the age of 12. These rules will be strictly enforced. Proof of age will be required if the team makes the finals. Please message me with any questions regarding AGE REQUIREMENTS or FAMILY RULES. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ’s):Who is Moneyman? An anonymous guy trying to do cool stuff. Why are things so top secret? To maintain the integrity of the event and give all teams equal opportunity to win. What happens after I sign up? Check your email for your ticket. An instruction video and your waiver will be emailed to you roughly 1 week prior to the event. Stay up-to-date by checking Facebook/Snapchat up until gameday. What happens at check-ins? Arrive at the check-in location with your teammate by 9am on 7/31/2021. Check-in location will be decided based off number of teams entered. It will be announced on social media. After turning in your general waiver, we will scan your tickets. Once everyone is scanned in, we'll give you your Top Secret Envelope, then you’re off to hunt. What kind of stuff am I searching for? Items and locations will be on “The List” provided at check-in. The List is top secret. Whats a qualifying picture? A qualifying pic must include 3 things. Both Searchers, the gamecard, and proof you found the item/location. Scroll down to see player pics from 2020. You'll receive more info on this in the instruction video to come. How do I qualify for the finals? Top 4 teams with the most points advance to the finals. One wildcard team will be selected making 5 total teams. (More information will be given in the Top Secret Envelope) Points? Earn points by finding items/locations on the list. Each item/location will be valued based on difficulty or uniqueness. Where do I drop off "The List'' at? Detailed information including drop-off locations will be disclosed in the Top Secret Envelope provided on game day. Why the matching costumes/uniforms? Because its fun! If you wear a costume/team uniform, you will be awarded valuable points. How elaborate of a costume/ uniforms do I need? Keep it simple with matching shirts or go crazy and make it fun. You will be awarded the same amount of points no matter how hard you go. There will be prizes awarded to my fav costumes. Why is Facebook/Snapchat needed to play? Facebook/Snapchat will be used to validate your checked off items/locations on "The List''. You'll need to post picture proof of everything your team has completed. See examples below. What if I don’t have a Facebook or Snapchat? Only 1 teammate needs to post pictures. If you don't have one, make one. It's ten thousand dollars... Reminder mini prizes will be announced on Snapchat. Can I play solo? Do I need a teammate? You are required to play with a teammate.
