Mixology 201: American Whiskey It's suggested but not required to take Mixology Fundamentals prior to this class. September is National Mixology 201: American Whiskey It's suggested but not required to take Mixology Fundamentals prior to this class.   It's time we had a frank discussion about American Whiskey.  Bourbon? Rye? Tennessee sour mash?  Let's taste these bad boys and find out what makes them different and when and what to mix with them.  We will go in depth in to the different classifications of American whiskey and taste them side by side. The technique portion will re-visit stirring and we will discuss the delicate masterpiece that is the rye Sazerac, as well as the proper way to make a whiskey sour with egg white.  Heck, we may even find something to do with Tennessee whiskey.  The fine print: You must be 21 years old with valid identification to attend this class. You do not need a printed copy of your ticket, reservations are under the name of the person who purchased the ticket. You may gift your tickets, but please make sure the attending party knows the name of the person who purchased the tickets. We do not permit add-ons, walk-ins, or others to wait in the bar. There is a no-refund policy in effect 72 hours before the start of the class.
