Nanny for 2 school-age boys - summer + beyond

Our Oakland family is looking for a reliable, energetic nanny who: - Likes to join in the fun with our 10yo and 12yo sons, whether it’s shooting some hoops or playing baseball or jamming to some music - Isn’t daunted by a busy schedule, driving our kids to/from camps, sports practices/games, music lessons, and friends’ houses. - Can manage light housework, doing 1-2 loads of laundry a week and just making sure the boys do their chores and clean up after themselves - Is charmed by our 2yo golden retriever - Is a great communicator who can roll with the punches if plans change or if we need help with an errand or two - Our ideal candidate will have a flexible schedule. We can commit to specific schedules 2 weeks in advance, and we can guarantee a minimum of 15 hours per week, averaged out over 4 week period (i.e., one week could be zero if we are out of town, but 2 weeks could be 15hrs each). START DATE: ASAP Pay: $20-23/hr depending on tax withholding Requirements: - COVID vaccinated - Current drivers license with your own transportation. We try to carpool with other families whenever possible, so you may have an extra kid or two for carpool from time to time. We'll reimburse you for mileage at the IRS rate. - During the summer (June 13 - Aug 18): Available Mon-Fri in the morning 7:30am - 9:30am to assist with camp drop offs (morning help won’t be needed once school is back in session). - Available Mon-Fri to pick kids up by 3pm, bring them to lessons/practice, supervise getting homework done, and cook a simple dinner for the kids. One of us is home by 7:30pm. About us: We are a busy family living in Oakland, with two boys ages 10 and 12. I travel during the week for work, and my husband works long hours at his job. At 10 and 12, the kids are relatively independent and social - they like to meet up with their friends in the neighborhood. They don’t require heavy supervision, but just someone who help us run the household and get them from place to place while we’re at work, and have some fun with the boys while you’re at it!
