Are you someone with a wide array of skills and would you like an exciting position where each day is different? Jefferson County is currently hiring a Fairgrounds Service Specialist. This position provides you the opportunity to work for a county that thrives on working collaboratively and overcoming challenges. Our guest, client and visitor experience is what we are about. One of the keys to a positive guest experience is positive interaction with any Fairgrounds staff. It is essential that you remain professional at all times, and that you treat everyone with courtesy and respect, under all circumstances. Every Fairgrounds associate is a guest relations ambassador, every working minute of every day. Maintain Fairgrounds facilities for year-round usage. Perform preventive, scheduled, and custodial maintenance of grounds and facilities. Supervise the activities of community service workers and volunteers. Manage Fairgrounds events, supervise events to ensure satisfaction of customer and protection of county assets. Collect and document compensation for materials and services provided. Hiring Range :$17-$18/hourly Responsible for maintaining Fairgrounds facilities for year round usage. Oversee event management, solving any public safety concerns and ensure satisfaction of customer experience and the protection of County assets. Set up events and facilitate event concerns and problems for customer and County. Supervise the work of community service workers and volunteers. Accept and document funds received from asset usage. Perform general custodial duties to facilities multiple times each day. Field guest and client complaints. Oversee Fairgrounds construction and maintenance projects by assessing property and amenity conditions. Perform preventative and scheduled site maintenance. Remove snow from Fairgrounds parking lots and sidewalks to ensure public safety. Perform preventive maintenance on fairground vehicles and equipment. Actively apply the Fairgrounds' 6 Safety Actions with a focus on process, place, and people to protect our guests, team members and animals. Exceed our team's and guest's expectations by paying attention to every detail of the delivery of our products and services. Perform any other job-related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma, or equivalent combination of work and education experience of four years. This position requires a variety of physical demands that includes exerting over 100lbs, occasionally 50 to 100 lbs, frequently or up to 20 to 50 lbs. This is a field position and exposure to various weather conditions can be expected. This position requires the use of a variety of tools, equipment, machinery, and other essential hardware/software. Must be available to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends, days, nights, and holidays. Preferred Qualifications: One or more years delivering great customer service and guest experience. One or more years of facilities and grounds maintenance experience. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Offer of employment contingent on criminal history, MVR check and education verification. Colorado Driver's License at hire and must not have any major violations, nor more than one DUI, DWI, DWAI conviction in the past three years. Depending on work team, may be required to obtain a pre-employment physical.
