PHOENIX, AZ -- The Phoenix Mercury will be without two-time WNBA scoring champion Diana Taurasi for at least four weeks.
Taurasi, who fractured her sternum May 16, has missed two games so far.
Through four games, Taurasi averaged 15.8 points, 3.8 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game and is six points shy of becoming the first player in WNBA history to score 9,000 points.
The Mercury have gone 2-2 to-date this season, ranking sixth in the WNBA.
The team's next home contest is against the Las Vegas Aces at 7 p.m. Wednesday at downtown's Phoenix Suns Arena.
