Altercation In East Jefferson County Turns Into Deadly Shooting

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — A 36-year-old man was shot and killed at an apartment complex in east Jefferson County Monday. The shooting occurred in the 1000 block of Florentine Circle just after 9 p.m. Sgt. Joni Money of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said the investigation this far suggests that an altercation occurred inside one of the apartments, which escalated into shots being fired.
