Sweet affectionate kitty needs home

Sweet kitty super great with humans. Super cuddly and affectionate. I found her ( I think it's a her) on the street and brought her home to be friends with my 9 month old cattle dog. For some reason the cat is aggressive towards my dog (hisses and scratches at him). I think the kitty must have been in some altercations with a mean dog in the past and it's scared it. I've given them a week to get used to each other but the cat is still aggressive towards my dog. I will throw in kitty litter, litter box and the rest of cat food that I have.
