Performance Computing is a rapidly growing locally owned wireless internet service provider. We are currently looking to hire an internet service technician to provide technology support/services to our residential and small businesses customers in the greater Winnemucca area as well as service our towers. Core Responsibilities: ● Determine areas of problems with customer premises or network equipment. ● Customer premise service installation including limited home network setup. ● Diagnose and resolve network hardware, wiring, routing, Access Point, CPE, Backhauls and similar equipment. ● Properly document all service calls ● Represent company in a professional and ethical manner ● Maintain high level of customer satisfaction with focus on first call resolution Qualifications: ● Basic experience with hand tools needed to complete installations as well as repairs. ● Previous experience in a customer service environment ● Valid Driver’s Licenses with a Good driving record (must provide copy of MVR) ● (preferred) Previous experience with installation and service of Wireless Internet and/or Satellite hardware and infrastructure ● (preferred) Previous experience with tower climbing and tower fall and rescue certification ● (preferred) Knowledge of wired and wireless home networks using multiple network technologies such as cable modems, routers, printers, etc. (DNS, DHCP, WAN, LAN, TCP/IP, Port Forwarding) Other Desired Skills: ● Bilingual in English/Spanish a PLUS ● Excellent written and oral communication skills ● Ability to learn new technical concepts quickly ● Excellent customer interaction skills ● Strong organizational and multitasking skills ● Ability to problem solve ● Ability to follow written instructions ● Applicant must be able to lift up to 80 lbs. for this role
