Description

The position will assist painters and welders in all task associated with sanding, prepping and painting. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills; Must be able to read and write in English and to follow written instructions; Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals; Must be able to be forklift-certified within first 90 days of employment; Working knowledge of paint, prep surfaces, environmental rules, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS); Working knowledge of painting techniques, metal integrity, sanding and grinding operations; Working knowledge of shop equipment i.e., air compressors, grinders, sanders, stencils, paint equipment and paint cleaning supplies; and Must pass a pulmonary function and respirator fit test. High School or equivalent One to two years paint and body experience Forklift certified Valid Texas Class C driver’s license Record of safe driving for the last three years as shown on current MVR, with no serious accidents or traffic violations *Texas Disposal Systems is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
