Marathon Industries is a medium sized truck body manufacturing company with head offices located in Santa Clarita Ca. The company employs some 180 employees and maintains a team environment promoting primarily from within. This position will be at a new facility we are expanding to in the Reno/Sparks NV area. Pay based on the level of experience. Marathon Industries is an E-Verify employer. Valid ID is required Job Type: Full-time Starting Salary: Up to $17.50 to start depending on experience (Significant overtime usually required/available) Required education: • High school or equivalent Required experience: • Welding Equipment: familiarity with use and safe operations • Bilingual preferred • Duties: Adhere to vigorous safety procedures. Preforming of departmental activities are guided by standard operating procedures and supervisors’ directions. Ensure that work performed is neat and to exact specification. • Qualifications skills: Work is preformed inside and outside a warehouse type facility with temperatures subject to normal Southern California outside environmental conditions. Hearing protection, safety masks as well as other safety equipment relative to welding is required to be worn at all times and will be provided. • Additional safety equipment may also be provided based on specific assignments. Work surfaces are concrete. Welders stand while performing their respective job functions. Use of ladders and scaffolding may be required. • Ability to safely use Welding tools and material efficiently. Enough literacy to read and understand verbal and written instructions • Physical Requirements: This position involves prolonged standing, repetitive motion, bending, stooping, pushing, lifting, and pulling. Good hand eye coordination and the ability to discern colors are required. Incumbents are also required to repetitively lift as much as 80 lbs. Hand dexterity and strength are required. • Employees responsibilities and duties interlock to vigorous safety procedures. All departmental activities include standard operating procedures and supervisors’ directions. All work performed must be neat and to exact specifications.
