Handyman/Assistant (Beltsville) If you are a reliable and handy person that likes the interaction with people, then you just might be the person we are looking for! FM Event Productions is in Beltsville, Maryland our company provides upscale event production services that include Photo Booths, Stage Rentals, Dance Floor Rentals, DJ Services, Lighting Productions, etc. We are looking for someone that is reliable, can multitask & can lift up to 50Ibs. All services listed above are physically demanding jobs, generally required to perform critical tasks in support of critical job functions like Standing, Walking, Lifting, Carrying, Reaching, Pushing, Pulling & Climbing. Work Includes: Light work that includes moving objects up to 10 pounds. Medium work that includes moving objects up to 25 pounds. Heavy work includes moving objects up to 60 pounds. Most especially we need someone that is handy and can install portable dance floor rentals, stage rentals, & floor wraps (preferably a male candidate). If you are handy but have no idea how to install, we will provide training as long as you are willing to work with us. During the training period, the person will receive assistance while installing equipment. The Production Technician must be a responsible and energetic individual who enjoys earning extra money on weekends while being in a fun party atmosphere. No experience necessary, we provide training. The Production Technician is responsible for helping the Event Team Lead/Owner with all needs. This is not limited to the SET-UP and BREAKDOWN for the event. The Production Technician will set up event lightings, photo booths, dance floors, and more depending on the services needed at a particular event. An ideal candidate must have an outgoing personality with a passion for events and interact with others. A qualified individual is dedicated and hardworking, always on time, with no exceptions. An ideal candidate can calmly handle all types of crowds, from small children to unruly adults. The Production Technician position is a contractor position at FM Event Productions. Hours vary depending on the needs of the event. Most events are 4-5 hours plus additional setup and breakdown time. Production Technician Qualifications MUST be willing to travel to surrounding areas (NYC, NJ, VA, PA, DE etc.) Setting up equipment before the start of each event Ensuring equipment is operating correctly Outgoing personality; high energy, sense of humor Self-directed individual Strong communication skills Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment Must be able to lift a MINIMUM of 50lbs Must be able to perform PHYSICAL ACTIVITY (assisting in setting up) Must have reliable transportation Must have weekend availability Must have excellent customer service skills, customer service background is a plus Must act in a professional manner Must have flexibility regarding hours and availability REQUIREMENTS - Must be at least 20 years age - Must be able to lift 50lbs without assistance - Able to transport, setup, and breakdown photo booth - Polite and willing to learn - RELIABLE - Compensation is $20.00-25.00/hourly Please call FM Event Productions @ 240-200-4307 to set up an interview.
