ABOUT THE POSITION This is not your typical moving position - we hire based on “soft-skills” as well as physical strength. Most of your day in the field is exactly what you’d expect, moving furniture and getting a great workout. With Managed Moves, you and your team will go the extra mile to serve the needs of our clients. Together you will not only make sure the client has a comfortable place to rest during each stage of the move, but also help them to settle in at their new home by performing tasks such as setting up and occasionally making the bed and ensuring that all boxes are in the correct rooms for easy unpacking. QUALIFICATIONS - 2+ years labor experience - 1+ years delivery or truck driving experience - 21+ years old (for insurance) - Healthy lifestyle enabling you to perform physically demanding tasks (lifting up to 70lbs) - Clean criminal background in last 5 years and clean motor vehicle record - Valid driver’s license and a reliable personal vehicle strongly preferred - Ability to obtain an ODOT medical card - Smart phone REQUIRED SKILLS Due to our very specific and sensitive clientele we require the following from our team members: - Excellent communication skills and a calm demeanor, even in stressful situations - Good at developing a compassionate rapport with the client to instill trust and convey competence CLASSIFICATION & COMPENSATION - Starting at $16.00/hr. Increase to $16.50/hr after the first 90 days. Increase to $17.50/hr after successful completion of driver training and certification. Increase to $18.50/hr after successful completion of lead training and certification. - Daily + weekly overtime pay - PTO - Gratuity WORK HOURS 25-45/hrs a week during business hours from Monday – Saturday from 8am-7pm TRAINING & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT We pride ourselves on creating paths for growth for our team members.
