Who we are: Established in 2012, Bumblebee Batteries, LLC was among the first mail-order hybrid battery companies in the US. * We are currently seeking a reliable, detail-oriented full-time employee for the testing of hybrid and EV battery cells. You will be responsible for the daily testing and distribution of different battery cells to their appropriate areas. * * Do you enjoy testing, tinkering with, and researching batteries and battery packs for your various projects and gadgets? Do you lurk or even post on endless-sphere.com, DIYElectricCar.com, or other EV/battery online communities? We’re looking for you! We are seeking someone passionate(about batteries!), ambitious, and innovative. * * Schedule: Alternating Monday through Thursday 9 am to 8 pm one week and Friday through Sunday 9 am to 8 pm the next. * * Essential duties: * * Loading batteries into testing rigs Run appropriate testing regimens to test different types of battery cells Use of crimp tools, heat guns, soldering tools, meters, power supplies, and other equipment to maintain operations, facilitate repairs or build new equipment Monitor and maintain battery banks Create, update, and complete documentation Occasional disassembly of incoming battery cores General shop tech work; cleaning and organizing tasks There may also be additional projects related to hybrid or electric vehicle batteries * * Qualifications: Must be proficient at learning new software Familiarity with different types of battery cells and how to test them Knowledge of volts, ohms, amp-hours, and other electrical terms highly desirable Desire to learn Excellent attention to detail Proficient with hand tools, power tools, multimeters Ability to lift up to 70 lbs unassisted Practice good housekeeping by maintaining a clean and organized work area Must be able to accurately differentiate between similar numbers * * Please send your resume and cover letter.
