Needed: Mature reliable persons with own insured economical vehicle for light local courier work. The position consists of delivering an envelope sized package to businesses and picking up a pre-arranged donation for local charity. You can expect to typically have 15-25 deliveries daily and depending on location, compensation is $8 - $10 per stop (based on distance from your home). Do the math, there's good money you can earn usually $500 - $1000 / week. We cover 48 counties from the Winston-Salem area west all the way to Murphy, so drivers can apply from any major market in between - Asheville, Hickory, Charlotte/Mecklenburg, Winston Salem/Greensboro, Concord, Salisbury, etc. We've had couriers who could cover a lot of the area while some want to be more localized. We're flexible, and we'll work with you. We work only one area at a time, usually spending 5 to 10 business days in a general area. These positions are full-time but seasonal. We operate each year from mid-April through the end of October. We need a concrete commitment to work the entire fund driver and are hiring immediately for this season. The ideal person for this is organized and efficient. You should be well-groomed and should be able to smile easily and enjoy personable interaction. You must be able to pass a criminal background check. Prior to being hired, you will need to produce: 1) Valid drivers license; 2) Social security card or birth certificate to prove eligibility for US employment; 3) 3-year MVR report; 4) proof of vehicle insurance in your name; 5) proof of vehicle registration.
