Description
We have had Dora since she was 4 months old. We took her in after she was found behind a dumpster - covered in fleas and missing half her hair. She has been to a vet and all issues have been dealt with - she healed up GREAT!!
Now that she is healthy and happy and well socialized, we know she is ready for a home.
A few things to note - she does great with big kids! But she is not the best fit for younger children. Our youngest is four and she grumbles and growls at her sometimes (usually for good reasons : being sat on, tail pulled, toy being taken).
She is potty trained but she gets distracted and has accidents every once in awhile. She is still a puppy!!
Dora has sensitive skin and she scratches often. We have learned that her Sharpei parent gave her lots of unique traits - though we don’t know if it’s the mother or father. She is very short and is not expected to get bigger than she is now (around 20 lbs).
She does well on a leash and takes treats gently.
She has been around dogs and cats and gets along fine BUT she is protective when she is home and barks at newcomers until you’ve welcomed them.
She is a vocal “guard dog”. She loves to snuggle and is especially fond of the Momma in our home. Our kids love snuggling with her but she prefers to sleep in bed with Mom.
She likes to tuck herself underneath blankets and make a cave for herself! It is adorable!
Dora is a sweet girl who LOVES PEOPLE and just loves to be loved. We are so eager to find her perfect home!!
She is up to date on shots and we have vet records for her. She is NOT spayed yet but is ready!
We are asking a $100 rehoming fee. No rush, just want to make sure she gets the right home. We will wait for the right people! ❤️
