Looking for a responsible, well groomed, dedicated individual from the Chino area (for CARPOOL in my Truck) willing to work and train to become a Fire Protection Technician. During this training, you will learn to work on Fire Alarm systems and Sprinkler systems. You will also do Fire Pump testing, Fire Hose testing, Annual/5-year Sprinkler/Deluge testing, and Halon system service. As you see, there is more than just fire extinguishers, it’s a career. Your responsibilities include checking fire extinguishers to ensure they are up to code, not expired, recharging the extinguishers, and assisting in fire safety inspections. You may also perform training for building occupants on the proper use of the fire extinguisher. Your job is to oversee the equipment maintenance and ensure that each device will work at 100% capacity in case of emergency. A High School Diploma or GED is Required. After 3 months of On The Job Training you must Pass a State exam to receive your Certificate of Registration. If you have experience in the fire suppression industry you may already have the skills required to inspect, maintain, and test fire extinguishers. Mandatory drug testing required.
