OC Renovations is seeking a Lead Painter and Painters COMPANY OVERVIEW: Our Company has repositioned thousands of apartment homes over the past two decades, supporting some of the industry’s most prominent owners, management companies and investors. We currently do renovations for the giants of the apartment industry in locations around the nation including Arizona, Washington, Colorado, Oregon, California, Utah, and Minnesota. We are looking for a Lead Painter and painters to join our team Lead Painter Job Purpose: Responsible for paint projects and timelines, for mixing paints, matching colors, preparing surfaces, and applying paint to these surfaces. Lead painter to manage a team of painters. PAINTER JOB DUTIES:  Preparing painting surfaces by washing walls, repairing holes, or removing screws, nails, or old paint  Mixing, matching, and applying paints and other finishes to various surfaces; Providing decorative and faux finishes as the project requires; Handling planning and prep work in an efficient manner  Preparing the surrounding area by covering with cloth or plastic to prevent messes; Moving furniture and equipment as necessary to reach the entire surface of the project  Calculating the amount of materials and time required for said project. Assisting in purchasing paint, brushes, and other supplies from vendors  Removing fixtures such as doorknobs and light switch covers; Taping off areas as needed; Reinstalling as needed  Communicating with Project Manager to ensure project is on schedule, on budget and quality of performance is on task PAINTER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:  High School Diploma or GED Certification Required; Understanding of Color Theory and Various Finish Types (Although On-The-Job Training May Be Provided); Ability to Climb stairs or Ladders to heights more than 8-9 feet  Ability to Lift, Carry or otherwise move or position Heavy Equipment or objects weighting up to 75 pounds and/or assist others with objects weighing more (Including Painting Tools and Heavy Buckets of Paint)  Ability to Stand for Long Periods of Time and work in a variety of physical positions which include, but are not limited to, sitting, standing, kneeling, squatting, crawling, and walking, requires mobility and flexibility to work in confined spaces  Ability to walk over rough, uneven and/or slippery surfaces  Attention to Detail; Excellent Communication Skills; Good Customer Service Skills; Good Math Skills for Calculating Surfaces and Equipment Requirements  Outstanding Physical Dexterity  Strong Ability to Follow Directions and Exceptional Sense of Creativity APPLICANTS MUST HAVE:  Willingness to learn and adapt to our companies’ policies, procedures, and techniques  Must be a hard worker and self-motivator, work well on a team and individually  Lead painter must possess time management skills, high attention to detail, follow-through, and organizational skills  Independent, self-starter with demonstrated problem-solving ability and a strong work ethic  Ability to juggle multiple tasks, projects and changing priorities; must have basic common sense and a great attitude  Possess a valid driver’s license & reliable transportation, (truck/van) Auto insurance a must as well as good driving record  Provide all legal working documents, valid social security number and direct deposit information  Provide some personal tools  Ability to lead and teach others a plus COMPENSATION: Part-time 32+ hours per week.
