Found homing racing pigeon

east main near park, North Adams MA

Description

This beautiful bird landed on our shed rooftop 12 days ago and is still there. We had been giving it water and some seed to bring it back into shape, but it does not seem at all interested in taking flight. It is banded but we are unable to read the lettering. We have tried several tactics to trap it, but we have to climb up a ladder to get on the rooftop which is slanted, so it can be very tricky and we haven't had any success yet. Can this be your precious bird? If not, we would appreciate any ideas or strategies for capture
