Mountain Bike Skills with Brian Astell. Thursday June 17, 5pm-8pm Girls! Lets have fun and step up our ride Open to girls ages 12-18 years. Whether you are new to mountain biking or you are eager to step up your riding skills this workshop os for you. Guaranteed you will be more confident out on the forest trails after learning the step by step process of handling your bike over obstacles and around corners! All riders will learn to use body weight and leverage to move the bike - no more wasting energy trying to inefficiently muscle the bike around. Multi- Level Clinic: New - Intermediate Riders Why TrailWorks? TrailWorks has a unique approach to teaching skills. We meet each rider at their skill level, and then cater the ride and training to each rider’s goals. We have a step by step, 100% repeatable and scalable process that every rider goes through. We start with the fundamentals, and then from there, your skill and speed of progression determines our next steps. Each step is broken down to its simplest form and layered upon the last to create a quick and efficient learning process. Fundamentals: • Ready position • Bike / Body Separation • Effective Braking • Wheel Lifts (front, rear, both) • Negotiating Trail Obstacles • Dismounting on hills • Operation of controls • Wheel Lifts (manual, bunny hop) Help get more kids on bikes! Brian is generously donating 50% of all clinic proceeds to the help the Corvallis Composite Mountain Bike Team get more kids on bikes!
