Soul Food Saturdays are multi-sensory walking tours exploring American culinary traditions through the history of Alexandria, Virginia. Two local businesses are coming together to share a bite of American history-- and you’re invited to the table! The DMV’s favorite custard shop, Goodies, teamed up with local tour operator, Historic America, to create a dynamic and interactive food experience! Enjoy a guided walking tour through Old Town Alexandria, learn about the TransAtlantic Food migration and explore the culture and community of African American food traditions. The tour culminates with a curated meal, served in the outdoor dining area of the historic Ice House. Historic America offers a full menu of multi-sensory neighborhood adventures, from national memorials to historic battlefields. EAT HISTORY with Goodies and Historic America!
