ABOUT The Nozzle Forward is the ongoing development of an in-depth study of all things engine. It is not a “what if” class, it is a program designed to engrain the nozzle team to make the right choice and accomplish whatever task is necessary for a successful interior attack. It is not theory; it is proven on fire-grounds around the country. Adapted from various sources but reconstructed to be based on simple principles that maximize mechanical advantage. The class answers the “whys,” not just the “what’s,” and quickly creates a system that can be adapted to fit any engine company from the urban to the rural. The goal is to help craft more efficient Engine Companies by increasing the individuals’ competency with their tools and expanding on the conceptual aspects of the fire environment. www.nozzleforward.com JUNE 21, 2021 (A-SHIFT) SCHEDULE (Tentative) 8am - 12pm: Classroom at Glass House 12pm -1pm: Lunch on your own (The lunch time is tentative) 1pm - 8pm: Denver Fire Academy Drill Ground JUNE 22, 2021 (B-SHIFT) SCHEDULE (Tentative) 8am - 10am: Classroom at Glass House 10am - 8pm: Denver Fire Academy Drill Ground (Lunch at some point on your own) CLASS NOTES 22-24 hour class over two days.Full PPE (No SCBA).Bring knee pads, if you want them.Drinking water and light snacks will be provided.Lunch will be on your own both days. Bring your own lunch.Some food options are a short drive.
