Description

Two-week introductory hands-on workshop on analyzing high-throughput sequencing data. The annual DnA Lab Short-Read sequencing workshop is back! This year, we will hold the Short Read workshop from July 19th to July 30th, 2021. Attendance is FREE! The classes will be from 9 am-12 pm M-F in the JSCBB building at CU Boulder (CU Boulder East Campus). You must wear a mask, even if vaccinated. Homework study sessions will be from 1-3 pm each day, during which time you can talk to a lab member for assistance. This class is geared towards people who have little to no Linux/command-line experience. We will NOT teach you everything you would learn in a 4-year bioinformatics degree. We will teach you basic commands you need to analyze RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, and single-cell RNA-seq and, we will teach you how to find help when analyzing data. You will need to bring a laptop to class. You should NOT register if you can not attend EVERY class. If you wish to attend, you must register for an Eventbrite ticket. The class is open to anyone (regardless of where they are employed). However, because of COVID policy, only 40 people may attend this year. Therefore, we reserve the right to limit the number of people per lab if we reach maximum capacity. If we must limit attendees, we will contact both the PI and researchers via email. The PI will make the final decision on which lab members will attend. -----DnA lab (Dowell and Allen)
