Join us on June 5th from 9-12 for a magical garden party on the quad. Masks and social distancing are required. About this event Class of 2021, let's end our last year of high school on a high note! This years senior prom will take place on McKinleyville High's quad. The event will be catered by local restaurants such as Sushi Spot, Citrine Catering and Mia Bella Cupcakes. Refreshments will be provided via Dutch Bros' drink cart. Propane heaters will be provided to keep as warm as we dance the night away. Professional photographer, Darci Dalton, will be from 8-12 there to capture candid and posed moments of our last high school dance. This event is completely FREE, however you and your potential guest must have all necessary information completed in order to attend. Dance Forms (Guest Request, Consent Form, Dance Contract) REMINDER: Every attendee is required to complete a dance contract. Please print these forms out and turn them in either when purchasing your ticket or taking a rapid test. By purchasing a ticket, you are agreeing to the following. Maintaining social distancing Proper use of facial covering If you are NOT fully vaccinated by Saturday, May 22nd you will be required to obtain a negative rapid test result to be presented at the time of entry. If your test comes back positive, you will be asked to leave and contacted by public health. Please note that a positive rapid test may impact your ability to walk at graduation. WHERE TO GET A RAPID TESTRapid tests must be taken within 72 hours of the event. Rapid tests will be available in the South Gym on Thursday June 3 or Friday June 4 between 1 and 2 pm. During this time you can turn in your Dance Contract and you will take a Rapid Test. If you are bringing a guest who is not fully vaccinated they must also come to be rapid tested at this time. STEPS TO PURCHASE A TICKETIf you are a student who has been fully vaccinated prior to May 22nd, please come to the Library on Tuesday June 1 or Wednesday June 2 between 1 and 2 pm. During this time you can turn in your Dance Contract and bring a physical or photo copy of your Vaccination Card to show. If you are bringing a guest who is fully vaccinated please have them share with you a photo of the card with their name visible and matching the name on the Guest Contract * If you have lost or misplaced your vaccination card you will be considered and unvaccinated student and will be required to take a rapid test. Normal school rules apply at this event. Guests may attend if we stay within the orange tier, and all attendees are either vaccinated or have a negative COVID-19 test result. Please indicate if you would like to bring a guest upon the time of purchase. Guests will be required to be vaccinated/tested as well. Appropriate paperwork and permission slips must be turned in prior to attending the event in-person.
