Southern NH Construction Company is looking for full time laborers with the aptitude and desire to make a career out of being an underground utility installer. Our business is growing and there is opportunity for advancement. We are an underground utility contractor working for power distribution companies in Northern Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire. For those companies we work primarily in the road to install natural gas and electric mains and services. Our crews typically consist of 4 to 6 men including a foreman, operator, driver and laborer. This is a quickly growing field and provides many employees with consistent year round work. As one of the top contractors in our field we take safety of our employees and the public very seriously. As a laborer your duties will include shoveling, using equipment such as a jack hammer, installing pipe in a trench, and working with an experienced foreman to tie in new natural gas and electric systems to existing. Your day will start and end on the jobsite so you will need reliable transportation. In some circumstances you will be asked to drive one of our vehicles, Proper license, DOT medical card, and clean driving record is required. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience. Permanent employee benefits include health insurance, dental, and 401K after probationary period. Previous knowledge of underground systems and general construction experience is preferred but not required. We provide a full complement of trainings in house and on the job to make any willing and hardworking individual into a competent underground utility worker.
