Cook-out in St Benedict's Courtyard following the 6.30pm Sung Eucharist of Corpus Christi Thursday 3 June is the Day of Thanksgiving for the Institution of the Eucharist, commonly called Corpus Christi , a feast celebrated by Christians since 1311 AD. During the day there will be Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament (in a monstrance on the Altar) at which people can make private devotions at any time. Exposition ends prior to the 6.30pm Sung Eucharist with full choir and organ. Following the Sung Eucharist we repair to St Benedict's Courtyard for drinks and cook-out. This is conducted in an entirely Covid-safe manner; and face-coverings are not required outdoors. For catering purposes please register here for the cook-out.
