Apply at: Must have a VALID DRIVERS LICENSE We are looking for a Janitor/General Helper to work at Greens Creek and Kensington Mines, near Juneau, AK. $1200 per week + benefits after 3 months. Summary: Perform Janitorial Services in common areas and other areas as assigned by site manager. Responsibilities: Cleans lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, and stairways. Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floor. Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies. Dusts furniture. Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills. Empties wastebaskets, and empties and cleans ashtrays, transports trash and waste to disposal area. Replenishes bathroom supplies. Inventories stock to ensure adequate supplies. Examines rooms, halls, and lobbies to determine need for repairs or replacement of furniture or equipment, and makes recommendations to maintenance. Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks. Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers. Cleans out garbage cans. Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas. Loads or unloads trucks picking up or delivering supplies and food. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
