Torch Cutter / Scrap Burner – Duluth, MN Azcon Metals is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill a full-time (40+ hours per week) Torch Cutter/ Scrap Burner position in Duluth, MN. This position is responsible for preparing / cutting scrap metal to specified sizing with a hand torch. Experience working in a heavy industrial environment is a plus, but not required. Paid on-the job training is provided. Essential Requirements and Responsibilities • Pass pre-employment physical, drug test, and background check • Valid driver’s license • No major motor vehicle traffic violations • Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) training • Prior experience using propane and oxygen hand torches will be taken into consideration • Effectively communicate and demonstrate interpersonal skills with all levels of employees • Attendance • Work hours may include overtime • Follow company environmental and safety policies • Perform other duties and projects as assigned Physical Requirements • Work outside in environmental conditions, which at times include heat or extreme cold • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): hardhat, safety glasses, reflective clothing, steel toe boots, and hearing protection • Lift 50 pounds floor to waist • Push and pull 50 pounds horizontally • Stand 8 hours per day while holding a torch • Climb stairs and ladders Employer Provided Benefits • Health Financial Benefits • Paid weekly • $17.62 an hour • Paid Time Off • Paid Holidays • 401(k) • Union Pension Plan
