NASSAU COUNTY, NY —Nassau County legislators are partnering with the American Acadaemy of Pediatrics to hold a webinar about vaccinating children against the coronavirus on Wednesday. The webinar, "COVID-19 Vaccines and Your Child," is being presented by Nassau County Legislator Arnold W. Drucker (D - Plainview) and New York State Senators Jim Gaughran (D - Northport), Kevin Thomas (D - Hicksville) and Anna Kaplan (D - North Hills). The webinar will feature a panel of experts in pediatrics, who will respond to community questions about the efficacy and safety of the coronavirus vaccine in younger patients. The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Shetal Shah, president of the Long Island chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is a practicing neonatologist at Westchester's Maria Fareri Children's Hospital and a prominent regional child health advocate.
