Description

Leadership Fairfax is now accepting applications for their premier professional leadership development programs – LFI Signature Program (LFI) and Emerging Leaders Institute (ELI). Applications are due Friday, June 4, 2021. The 10-month programs begin September 2021. Classes meet once a month and participants work outside of class with a cohort to plan and implement community and equity focused projects. The programs help participants build knowledge of community topics, legislative processes, leadership tenets, and strategic interactions and negotiations. Applicants may apply at leadershipfairfax.org. Limited tuition assistance available based on need. About the LFI Signature Program: LFI is designed for leaders in senior level positions and entrepreneurs, across all sectors, looking to grow their network, interact strategically with community stakeholders, and develop a vision for the future as they lead people and organizations. Participants coordinate with a cohort to create, manage and implement a class day curriculum in partnership with community leaders. LFI sessions leverage peer to peer learning and courses taught by certified leadership coaches and faculty with a global reach that facilitate meaningful interaction through forums and discussion groups and encourage innovative thinking with a focus on diversity, equity and inclusion. Graduates leave with expanded knowledge and self-awareness, prepared to excel at senior leadership levels. About ELI: ELI is designed for early to mid-career professionals poised to accelerate in their careers. Participants develop specialized skills in project management, conflict resolution, public speaking, negotiations, and storytelling for leadership. Through six individual hours of professional executive coaching or mentoring, skills-focused curriculum, and participation in a community service project, Leadership Fairfax develops engaged leaders at work and in the community, turning potential into powerful performance. Previous community service projects supported Bite Me Cancer, Friends of Fairfax County Animal Shelter, Langley Residential Support Services, OAR Fairfax, Reston Museum, and more. Second round applications due Friday, June 4 and spots are filling quickly. Employers or individuals interested in applying or sending an employee through the program can find more information online at leadershipfairfax.org.
