We are a privately owned ranch looking for a hard working, reliable, team-oriented individual who has a passion for horse care and health. At PEC we offer a specialized Show Jumping and Dressage lesson program and full service boarding for horses. Our mission is to bring the best out of both horse and rider by providing the most supportive and inclusive environment for everyone to achieve their goals. We are looking for a team member to encompass those values in our team atmosphere. Responsibilities: ● Stall cleaning: barn, paddocks, turnout ● Load and unload hay and various feed/supplies ● Replenishing bedding/shavings as needed and as specified by management. Can stack bales up to 100Ibs. ● Feed horses following horse feeding menu ● General cleaning of horse troughs, buildings, and properties ● Assist with other duties as specified ● Be able to spot abnormalities and address ● Ensure all gates are locked, feed put away, and general safety adhered to ● Capable of assessing horse health on a daily basis and reporting changes to management ● Reliable attendance ● Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, walking, and standing while performing job functions Nice to haves: ● Experience operating a tractor ● Comfortable haltering and leading a horse You are: ● Passionate about horses and their care ● Always on time ● Excited to be part of a team ● A hard worker who isn’t afraid to tackle big projects ● Detail oriented ● Able to follow safety guidelines & law requirements ● In love with the outdoors and getting dirty + willingness to work in all weather conditions including cold, heat and rain Job is preferably 7 days a week but can be flexible for a M-F. Start time is 7 am, 3-4 hours a day with the ability to increase as skills and company grows.
