POINT PLEASANT, NJ – At their meeting on Monday night, the Point Pleasant Board of Education approved the hiring of Adam Angelozzi as the district's new superintendent of schools, effective July 1. Angelozzi, the current principal at Manalapan High School, will replace current superintendent Vincent Smith, who is retiring. Angelozzi's term is for five years, ending on July 1, 2026. Angelozzii spoke briefly after his hiring was approved, thanking the board and saying that he was looking forward to joining the Point Pleasant community. "First, I want to thank the Board of Education for providing me this opportunity," Angelozzi said, "I'm excited to get to know this community, this district, the staff, and the students."
