Driver Crashes Into Wheat Ridge House, Injures Homeowner

WHEAT RIDGE, CO — The driver of an SUV crashed into a closed garage Tuesday and injured a homeowner who was inside, fire officials said. The homeowner was hospitalized with injuries that were not life-threatening, West Metro Fire Rescue said. The crash occurred in the 3900 block of Zephyr Drive, and two people ran from the scene, according to Wheat Ridge Police. Fire crews were working to shore up and stabilize the home.
