The Role: Farm workers are a crucial role to the overall harvesting operation. Farm workers harvest a variety of crops by hand and work in crews across many beautiful fields in San Juan Bautista. Schedule: Day Shift - 6am or 7am start time Monday - Friday, Saturday work during high season Seeking 5 People! Essential Responsibilities Include but Not Limited To • Harvesting and inspecting of crops by hand • Use of hand cutting tools-knifes, shovels, etc. • Seed starting, planting, fertilizing, pruning, hoeing, weeding, and or transplanting of crops • Processing and product washing and/ or packing products in a manner to ensure it meets quality standards • Moving of plants, soil, compost and other materials with wheelbarrows, etc. • Participate in all required meetings in order to create a safe and coordinated work environment • May be required to lift up to 25 pounds • Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team environment • Must be able to stand, walk, crouch, bend or kneel for an extended period of time • Must be able to work on uneven surfaces in the field Coke Farm Total Compensation Package includes: • Pay Range: $14.00/ hr • Performance based increase after introductory period, typically 90 days • Year around work available • Robust health and wellness benefits including medical, dental, and vision and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) • Supplemental retirement plan through our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) • Vacation pay, sick pay paid holidays • Employer-covered College Program Required Experience • Agriculture background a plus: little to no experience okay - we will teach you! • Ability to lift up to 25lbs • Ability to work in a outside environment all day • Must be able to stand for long periods of time. • Ability to maintain a safe working environment by following all safety practices and food safety procedures • Strong work ethic and good attendance is critical Coke Farm is an equal opportunity employer.
