Shayevich Named to Hamline University College of Liberal Arts Dean's List Natan Shayevich, of Northbrook, was named to the Hamline University College of Liberal Arts Dean's List in Spring 2021. Shayevich was among the 640 students named to the Dean's List this semester. To qualify, students must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher and complete a minimum of 16 credit hours. In the Spring 2021 term, students were required to have completed a minimum of 12 credits graded on the standard letter-grade scale for the term. —Merit Pages News Rubin Part of WIAC Championship for UW-Whitewater Baseball David Rubin, a native of Northbrook, and graduate of Glenbrook North High School, is a member of the No. 5 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater baseball team, which captured its third straight conference tournament title and seventh all time Saturday afternoon with a 13-9 victory against UW-Stevens Point in the final game of the 2021 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Championship Presented by Culver's at Prucha Field at James B. Miller Stadium in Whitewater. With the win, the Warhawks (37-5 overall) secure the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship, which begins with the regional round this week. UW-Whitewater will host a six-team, double-elimination regional tournament starting this Thursday at Miller Stadium. —Merit Pages News Gemma Abbott Inducted into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi Gemma Abbott, of Northbrook, was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Abbott was initiated at University of Maryland, College Park. Abbott is among approximately 30,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. — Merit Pages News Local students named to University of Utah Spring 2021 Dean's List The University of Utah congratulates more than 8,700 students who were named to the Spring 2021 Dean's List. To qualify, students must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher in at least 12 graded credit hours during any one term. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits; undergraduate day students must earn 12 credits in fall or spring semester, and online students must earn 12 credits in either EW1 & EW2, EW3 & EW4, or EW5 & EW6. — Merit Pages News Emma Litch Named to UM Spring 2021 Chancellor's Honor Roll Emma Beatrice Litch, of Northbrook, was recently named to the University of Mississippi's Spring 2021 Honor Roll lists. Litch was named to the Chancellor's Honor Roll, which is reserved for students who earn a semester GPA of 3.75-4.00. In order to be eligible for honor roll designation, a student must have completed at least 12 graded hours for the semester and may not be on academic probation during the semester. — Merit Pages News Belmont University Announces Spring 2021 Dean's List The following students achieved the Dean's List at Belmont University for the Spring 2021 semester. Eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours (exclusive of audit and pass/fail courses this semester) and a quality grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C (inclusive of audit, pass/fail courses and zero-credit courses). Approximately 53 percent of Belmont's 6,170 undergraduate students qualified for the Spring 2021 Dean's List.
