MANCHESTER, NH - Multiple law enforcement agencies were searching for a Weare man who fled a traffic stop in Goffstown and allegedly pointed a gun at the officer.
Manchester police, Goffstown police, and Hillsborough County Sheriff's office located Brian Elliot, 30 of Weare at the Holiday Inn Express on South Porter Street in Manchester.
Officer attempted to contact Elliot and take him into custody, he refused to come out of the hotel and barricaded himself inside a hotel room.
Hotel guests were evacuated, and roads around the hotel were closed to traffic. Manchester police SWAT officers and crisis negotiators worked to convince Elliott to leave the room. After several hours of speaking with him, he agreed to come out and was safely taken into custody.
Manchester police did not specify the specific charges that Elliot faces. On the night of the traffic stop in Goffstown, officers were advised that there were outstanding warrants for his arrest at that time.
