Description
BUCKS COUNTY, PA — The Neshaminy School District is a recent recipient of a $20,000 grant from the The Gene and Marlene Epstein Humanitarian Fund.
The generous donation will be used to help Neshaminy students and their families in need of a helping hand, according to the school district.
Founded in 2007 and based in Newtown, the nonprofit offers grants to organizations to support their humanitarian efforts.
According to school officials, Neshaminy School District social workers, school counselors and nurses collaborate regularly to identify district students facing economic challenges and then connect them with internal and external resources to help them and their families.
Thanks to the substantial gift, school district officials said it will allow them to help several families with immediate necessities such as rent, clothing, groceries, car repairs and maintenance and more.
