Description
Hello musicians, my good friend recently contacted me asking me to play some events in Boulder this summer. I’m looking for someone(s) to work with to make something presentable and tangible that is very entertaining. A little about me: I am a 30 yr old musician who has been playing (guitar) for about 8 years. Super laid back, 420 friendly, I don’t really drink anymore. Love to practice guitar and have been in a few bands. It’s been a real passion of mine but always more of a hobby. Lately it’s been feeling like this hobby is starting to turn into something a little more serious. I don’t claim to be an incredible musician, but I have put many hours into doing my best to sound great. And it’s starting to come to fruition. What I’m looking for: Anyone who plays any instrument to work with. There’s a real joy in working with other people to create something entertaining. You could be a way better musician than me, you could be around the same level, or maybe more of a beginner. Old, young, middle aged...I’m down for whatever, as long as we can make music entertaining for the listener. About the gigs: I don’t know much about how they will be conducted or exactly what to expect venue wise. My longtime friend has been producing comedy shows for several years and is beginning to dive into the music scene. We will get paid but I wouldn’t expect much. As far as what to play...the sky is the limit. I would like to start with some covers that sound great, and then segue into creating some (or a lot) of original material. We would need at least 30 mins of entertaining sound to start. My biggest influences: Eric Johnson Van Halen Bjork Radiohead Steely Dan Jimi Hendrix Leo Brouwer (classical) Miles Davis John Coltrane Many others We can practice at my house (Broomfield) either in the garage or in the basement. I have everything I need (amps, pedals, guitars etc). I also have a fairly awesome bass guitar setup we could use as well as a classical guitar if that’s a direction we would want to go. Also some studio stuff to help us practice and eventually record. Side note: I want to learn music I don’t normally play or listen to as well. So anything you’d be interested or have a lot of experience with, I would give my 100% dedication to learning and performing. My weakest genres are jazz, funk, and bebop, but I want to learn more! Strongest genres are classical, hard rock, alt rock, and pop. I’m a 90’s baby. I’ve also been looking into busking around Boulder, and that may be a potential Avenue as well. If any of this tickles your interest please reach out to me. Let’s makes music and have fun doing it! Make a little💰 in the process!! Please text, call, or email! 2six0three41two6three8 -Daniel
