Description
Cohen is a handsome black Labrador retriever mix, who is estimated to be 6-8 years old and weighs about 75 pounds. During the last couple of months, this active guy has been waiting patiently at the Jackson County Animal Shelter for a new home, while other smaller, younger dogs keep getting adopted around him. Although Cohen can be a bit shy at first when meeting new people, once he warms up, he becomes a mellow, agreeable and low-key guy. It may take him awhile to bond with his next owner, but he will easily become your next best friend, if you play a game of fetch with him. In playgroups with other large dogs at the Animal Shelter, Cohen has gotten along with some of the dogs he’s met, but he would much rather hang out with people. So, it will be important for him to meet any other dogs in the household, prior to adoption. This well-mannered dog takes treats gently and is easily trainable. He’s a smart cookie, loves attention, and will do best with an active owner who enjoys the outdoors. If you can provide a home for this nice Labrador retriever to retire in, please call Barbara at
