I need somebody with experience canvassing door-to-door for political candidates. But this isn't a campaign - it's actually a poll. You'll be sent to a randomly chosen precinct, where you knock on 50 doors, asking people to fill out an anonymous questionnaire about political attitudes. You don't try to talk them into, or out of, anything. All you want is for them to agree to fill out our survey and mail it back using an envelope you leave behind. We pay hourly ($15), plus mileage, plus a bonus for each returned ballot. You can work from about 4pm to 7pm on weekdays, plus all day Saturday and Sunday. The exact hours are flexible, but we're looking for somebody who wants to put in a lot of hours - we need to get the survey completed. Starts right away, and continues until about October 25. The locations are scattered around metro Detroit. You'll need reliable transportation. Write about your campaign experience, including which specific candidates you've worked for. (We don't care which party, but we know enough candidates we'll be able to check references.)
