If this seems like your type, keep reading. Our type We are looking for someone passionate about the river. You would like to work in a place where the largest ecosystem restoration project in the country exists, the Mission Reach. This eight mile stretch of the San Antonio River has been transformed into a quality riparian woodland ecosystem. As a Riparian Landscape Technician, you will be involved in maintaining this world class project. You have experience in formal and/or restored native plant communities. You enjoy working outside, removing weeds, clearing brush, mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, seeding and irrigating public areas. You are knowledgeable on identifying both native and non-native vegetative species. You have a good understanding and experience with operating maintaining and repairing vegetative management equipment such as power tools, hand tools, mowers, weed eaters, irrigation systems, tractors, slope tractors and vehicles. You understand the importance of keeping the water quality at an acceptable range by removing litter and other debris from the river. As a member of this team you would continuously give back to the community by leading volunteer groups. You enjoy working extremely hard, but also like to play hard.
